Please note, the museum will not be running private bookings during the national lockdown. Please check back for information on future opening dates once we are able to confirm them.
The Charles Dickens’ Birthplace Museum is open on selected days throughout the year, for private visits by one family group at a time, providing exclusive access to the first home of the celebrated author.
The museum is compact, with areas where it isn’t possible for visitors to keep two metres apart, and as such bookings must be for single family groups or social bubbles – and for a maximum of six people per time slot.
Normal admission charges will apply for all visitors, with a requirement to pay in advance at the time of booking.
Laminated, cleanable cards will be available for each group to use as they walk around the museum, giving details about each room. You can also look out for QR codes to scan for more in-depth information during your visit.
